A Mom’s Love

This is a heartwarming short video about loving moms. The Hug Your Mom Campaign is to support mothers on Mother’s Day, and promoted by the nonprofit SOS Children’s Villages.

SOS Children’s Villages was founded in 1949 in response to the needs of the many children left orphaned and abandoned after World War II. The original concept is still working today, more than 55 years later, to provide children who have lost their parents or who are no longer able to live with them a loving home and a stable environment in which they can thrive.

Each child is given an SOS mother, someone who has had to complete an extensive training program. This gal is the child’s (children’s) primary caretaker and they all live in a house together, where she takes care of daily life for them.
If you would you like to help orphaned and abandoned children find a new home and a family, you can sponsor a child on any continent. Once a year you will receive a progress report about your sponsored child and at the end of the year, you will receive a report telling you about life at the village, as well as a photo of your sponsored child together with a season’s greetings card.
